With a 16' wide center aisle and double 12' lean-tos, the Hoback Monitor Barn has a spacious first floor ready for any purpose you have in mind. There’s a 10' first floor ceiling height, enabling large vehicles to easily park, or for you to fill with your hobby shop. On the second floor, find a 16' x 36' space with windows on all sides, a 7'-4" knee-wall and 8' collar tie height. 10' First Floor Ceiling Height
The 40' x 36' Hoback Monitor Barn Special Package comes standard with a 10' first floor ceiling height that creates the perfect space to park large SUVs or tractors. Open the large split sliding doors to find a 16' wide clear-span center aisle with lots of space without posts. On both sides of the center aisle, 12' enclosed lean-tos provide even more space for hobbies, vehicles, a workshop, hosting parties, and more.
Second Floor Loft
The monitor barn design of the Hoback enables a 16' x 36' second floor loft that’s different than any of our other barn models. With a 7'-4" knee wall, the second floor loft is able to have windows on all 4 sides, bringing in lots of natural light and views. There’s plenty of room to walk around also, as there is an 8' collar tie height. Consider what you’d do with the unique second floor loft space of the Hoback Monitor Barn.
The Barn Yard manufactures authentic post and beam barns with the most precise mortise and tenon joinery. Exceptionally crafted on our CNC machines, the precise joinery allows our crew to raise the frame efficiently, as every timber is numbered to match the detailed plans.
Included in the 40' x 36' Hoback Monitor Barn Special Package is a weather tight shell built on your foundation. This package does not include electrical, garage door openers, interior finish, cupola & weathervane, painting, or foundation.
Why The Barn Yard?
Our timber frame barns are the real deal: 100% authentic post and beam, from the timber sill all the way up to the roof rafters, with the most intricate and authentic joinery available anywhere. All of our timber frame barns are designed by our in-house designers using advanced 3D design software. The timbers are cut on CNC timber processors at our shop in Ellington, CT for precision down to the hundredth of an inch. Because of this great precision, our timber frame barns are easy to raise. All pieces are numbered which allows our crew to raise the frame efficiently.
