A stunning timber frame reception/waiting area with monitor barn design & hammer beam trusses is just the beginning of the 7,650 sq. ft. Fenton River Veterinary Hospital that we built in Stafford Springs, CT. Check out these photos for the full tour.
In designing this building, we were inspired to bring a monitor barn design to a commercial project. As barn builders, we are known for our barn look, and barns are known and loved for their important role throughout American history. There’s just something about a barn that brings us home. On a farm, animals will often live in the barn, so it was a natural fit to design the veterinary clinic after a barn. The new Fenton River Veterinary Hospital in Stafford Springs, CT has all the barn details. From the shape of the building to the timber truss accents, board & batten siding, wooden doors, timber frame porch, windows & trim, and stone veneer wainscoting, the finished result is a commercial project like no other.
Owned by husband & wife team Dr. Scott & Heidi Morey, the Fenton River Veterinary Hospital has a welcoming feeling the moment you step through the doors. A beautiful timber frame monitor barn structure in the reception area is reminiscent of classic barns of the west. Hammer beam trusses and steel tension rods grace the design with many details for the eye to explore. Lead by the friendly & dedicated Moreys, the staff & doctors at Fenton River go out of their way to provide an excellent customer experience for all creatures, great and small. They are experts in their fields and can treat all kinds of animals. This is the second and largest facility for the Fenton River Veterinary Hospital, with their first being in Tolland, CT.
Working with Dr. Scott & Heidi Morey was a great experience for us and we highly recommend seeing them for all your animal care needs. We hope the new facility helps them care for more animals than ever before.
