Setting up the Display Area
Watch Chris, Roy, Keith, & Wade set up the 2014 display area at our Ellington showcase location. Many power tools-like the forklift & skid-steer-make the job much easier. Even though the sheds & storage buildings are thousands of pounds apiece, they're able to place them precisely to the inch. Soon, you'll be able to walk around & explore the new display area.

Vinyl Pavilion at the Home Show
Make tracks this weekend to the Connecticut Home Show at the CT Convention Center in Hartford. We have a 14' x 20' Vinyl Pavilion on display at J&D Landscaping's booth, complete with all sorts of different pavers and outdoor hardscape ideas. Our pavilion plus J&D's pavers equals the best back yard dining, entertainment, & enjoyment.

New Manufacturing Facility
The Barn Yard & Great Country Garages is proud to announce that we are working on a new manufacturing facility at the intersection of Lower Butcher Road & Windermere Ave. in Ellington! The new facility will be home to our wall panel manufacturing, delivery crew, construction crew, project management, and delivery coordination. Currently, the lot is being cleared by a logging machine that makes light work of the thickly wooded area. Click for a video of the logging operation & a panorama of the lot.

Update: Cape-Style Home
Construction continues at a rapid pace on the 1,744 sq. ft. Cape-style home we're building in Ellington, CT. The weather-tight shell is nearly complete. Thanks to our customer for taking and sending these photos of the home.

Elks Lodge: Complete

Western Saloons: Designed & Built
It's projects like this when our love of western design really comes in handy. The customer had the idea to build a saloon off an existing barn. We thought, what a great idea and why not! From designing to engineering to building, The Barn Yard accomplished the task in classic western style, crafting a building located in New England that might as well be in Wyoming. 1,744 sq. ft. Cape-Style Home
The Barn Yard is building a Cape-style house for a customer in Ellington CT. It features 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, 9' ceilings, covered porch entry, and walk-out basement. Not to mention a classic Cape look and 28' x 44' footprint. Construction began in early February. The snow and ice, which could have delayed other builders, did not delay The Barn Yard and their hardworking crew. Read on for details, photos, plus a time-lapse video of crane day.
